There is a movement sweeping the nation to ban Halloween parties in our public schools. I for one will sleep better knowing that our precious children will not be subject to the horrific injuries we all suffered as children. Hold on ... injuries our classmates suffered from wearing costumes to school ... er, maybe you remember hearing about all those injuries ... oh right, I never suffered nor heard of an injury as a result of a school Halloween party.
But fear not, proactive school boards and administrators are leading the charge sighting 'safety issues', food allergies and even (hope you are sitting down) constitutional concerns as reasons we need to put an end to what for many kids is one of the best days of the school year.
