I struggled with weight my whole life. I was a chubby baby, a "husky" kid and obese as an adult.
currently:
- 6'0"
- 160 lbs. (highest weight was 325)
- BMI 21.7
- 15% body fat
I am pretty sure that my weight loss has helped in getting control over my diabetes but the main motivator for me was heart health. Being obese, sedentary and a smoker for 40 years I was a walking time bomb. That bomb went off 2 years ago when I had a stroke. I got real serious real fast about getting real healthy.
I'm embarrassed that it had to get to the point it did but proud of what I have accomplished.
